I like the quirkiness of this one. I agree that it takes some time to get used to the way the power reserve "eats" the main dial and also the infamous double print of the date 13th (and even 18th) due to the sub seconds window and the short date hand (you forgot to mention this strange feature in your list... Tssss 
)
I have come to appreciate these little twists to logic and I really love the dial guillochage. A very charming package that I will find difficult to resist if our roads should cross one day.

and the gold movement was a first. The dimensions of the case are exactly 30% bigger, IIRC, than the Classique. It was as if JLC took a CAD program and dragged the corner of the screen to enlarge the X Y and Z axes. -Dean
