SIHH 2011 looks like an interesting year for JLC. First of all, the 1931 Reverso looks interesting. Now this 1959 DSA looks very interesting too. Again, the big difficult question is, which one will be the one I would want? The US Dial version or the Euro... 

That was the same problem with the TTP 65 and 68. But as saoid above, having this kind of dilemma is better than to not have it. A delicious torture. Best, Patrick. Nicolas.

it's so nice to get such a pleasant surprise like this...!!! There could have been a sound file but obviously we were talking about the reverso minute repeater to be revealed soon. It is a very faithful reproduction...even down to the faults in the origin... 

Same movement, same sound. The only thing which can differ is that the case of the TT DSA is a bit smaller than the TTP. Will it have a consequence on the sound of the Alarm? We'll see, but I doubt it will be an important difference, maybe in the volume? ... 

JLC did a great job on these Deep Sea Alarm watches.. I love the fact that it is almost exactly the same with the original version.. And I totally agree that some imperfections on the design/functionality give these two watch a special kind of charm... Th...

It was a less easy decision than trying to hide these imperfections, to solve them. It is part of the DNA of these watches, and it had to be kept this way, in my opinion. Thanks for your input, Sam. Best, Nicolas.

Before seeing the watches in metal next Monday, I will say nothing definite. But I would summarize my feelings as follows: Positive things are the history of the watch, the design, size and the similarity with the original watch. Negative is that accordin... 

Several points: 1/ You say you won't dive with it. It is sure that I will rather consider swimming with it than diving with it at some serious dephts. BUT... With the Vintage, you have to avoid water, even in a glass. I lived it last summer, I was at the ... 

I agree with many of your comments Nico and have just one comment and one question: It is clear that the new watch is much better for diving than any vintage. But do you have any idea why is the depth rating just 100 meters? I agree with the virtues of th... 

JLC could give a more important depht rating, but it would have required a sapphire ( no way on this piece ), or a different plexy, not shaped in the same way, less nicely integrated to the bezel. The original one was WR to 155 meters. As for the comparat... 

Like I said earlier; I don't know yet. It will be great to see the watch in metal on Monday and perhaps I will order both - I don't really know. Let's hope there are also some other new and exciting things and see you soon. Safe trip! Best, Kari

watches with thick plexi like this are a dream to wear. there is an incredible appeal to the reflection that the plexi gives. in our days of sapphire everywhere, it is very pleasant to see that there is still room for high end watches with plexi.

Of course, this type of release is very much in my zone of interest -- modern "vintage" design, and a dive watch to boot!! How can I not embrace these two models as a good thing? The lingering question is: which version is prettier? Thank you for bringing...
