QP Magazine Article
I just picked up a recent copy of QP magazine at Borders this is Issue Forty Four 2010.
There was no way to I could pass this cover by-

Villeret 1858 Montblancs Pearl
I had previously subscribed to QP but let it lapse. A mistake on my part it looks like.
The Villeret article is very insightful on the acquisition of Minerva by Montblanc and some of the challenges and successes to date.
I highly recommend this article to anyone who is interested in or who doubts the future "possibilities" of what can be accomplished with the Villeret line.
Interesting take on the larger Montblanc with a hands off approach leaving the smaller Villeret model to thrive in an artistic direction. I wonder for how long as eventually the business model has to work. So maybe today the Villeret is actually very affordable if you had to calculate actual time to production. Or maybe in 25 years we will all wish we had purchased several of the early models. There is one line from the article that really struck home regarding the Metamorphosis; "This is one of the few watches that simply has to be seen in real life to appreciate". Having actually seen and held the movement I agree 100% the creativity and ambition to make this watch once you see the actual moving parts is truly breath taking.
The article covers the recent Villeret releases from 2009 and 2010 as well as the Metamorphosis. All is all a very well constructed issue.
