Yes but remember this is not just a normal "DLC" coating process
It is a "dual carbon" process where the metal gets a treatment first before the actual DLC coating. You can see this step as the "hard treatment" on the chart below.
I guess it would still be possible to get it done on a special individualized process but I suspect that it would be expensive.
BTW, I like your blackout VC Overseas....now that should be a production piece.

I think the data point will be slightly off given the fact that it is a charity event held in Monaco. A few years ago the Villeret Piece Unique was won for 30,000 Euros... Ratio wise, I think this Rising Hours will do better. Either way the money will go ...

Are other brands using a DLC process like this one? Is there a difference in the Dual Carbon process vs. a regular DLC process? BTW, I like the blacked out Overseas as well!
The only one I am aware of is Linde Werdelin's "Hard Black"
series. In a similar method, the steel case is heated prior to the DLC being applied to the surface. The initial series was 22, followed by a second series of 88. Retail was approx 5K euros....and this is a time only watch equipped with a ETA automatic mo...
