I think the case shape with the waistband crease, no seconds, engraved dial, hands...all add up to a more pure reinterpretation of the vintage stuff.
Disclaimer, I have yet to see it in person and all of my opinions are based on the mesmerizing photos by Martin W.

127 - is too much doomed - I don't like the '1950' on the dial 372 - even e niver case and if you have the choice between a very cheap ETA and a inhouse I do prefer inhouse

372 all the way -very unique, yet historically accurate, no "1950", no seconds hands, better font and color, better OEM strap, manufacture movement, price point...... But compared to the 217 (with "Marina Miilitare" on the dial) and it being a destro, wou...

personally i believe its being presented as a raw vintage panerai as possible , unlike the 127 which is like an officer dolled up and had make up applied to his face... in other words with 372 the essence and panerai depth im able to go to is deeper than ...

Without any doubt... A better looking a more "correct" re-interpretation of the 6152/1 Even though we can't doubt the charm of the 127.. As I mentioned in my previous posts about 47mm Panerai... But yes, no doubt I'll choose 372 over 127 Best, Sam

127 - ETA movement - Overpriced/expensive second hand price - "1950" on the dial + 1500 pcs 372 + in-house movement + Relatively cheap if compare to current second hand price of 127 + Dial/case close to original design - 3000 pcs and more You do the math

Basically I like old school PAMs, but I gotta say that 372 has stronger vintage looks, and you gotta love that longer PR. This message has been edited by Davo on 2011-04-18 00:01:48
The 372 for me.

Hi from France. For me, it will be definitely the 372. The 127 is a great watch, but i am really not in love with the "1950" markings. The other bad point on the 127 is the almond green of the indexs (as this color is the only thing i do not like too much...
i would go for the 127

Hello Anthony and everybody here at Purists, I would go for the 127, simpler and cleaner dial. Indeed - as other already said - the "1950", similarly to every other sign different from "Panerai", does not fit very well my taste. Ciao from Milano, slide68
