I think I am in the minority, here, but after having seen several times the PAM 721, I think I prefer the 720. I know it is less special, with its wording on the dial, but I love this wording, it is not too much, and I find the PAM 721 strangely empty, a ...  

is 1000 times nicer than the 720, so please wake up Mr Nico and think the same 😜

I don't like the 721 for the same reason others like it. Don't like the anonymous dial and what it represents.

But could have easily gone for the 720 had the 721 been sold out first.

... which makes it less like any watch I've seen -- though the point made about homages is a good one! As an old guy, I used to see people wearing fake Panerais in the '90s and some of them were blank like the 721. I wasn't a watch guy back then and wonde... 

The OBVIOUS choice is the 721, but when I had the chance to experience them side-by-side, the cool factor of having an anonymous dial is trumped by the fact it feels like it needs something. Perhaps if the 721 carried 70 years of scratches to the plexi an...

No contest IMHO. The 721 is homage to the Type D ref. 3646 while the 720 is supposed to be a Type C homage. However, they didn’t try to emulate the red-patina’d lume from the original Type C’s nor the darkened engraved writing. A fail unfortunately, IMHO ...

Yes, the 720 font/wording is beautiful a la 372. Quite the modern pair if you ask me.

For me the 720 is irresistible. When this watches were announced, the pictures that surfaced had golden hands for the 720 and 721. Immediately i booked for the 721! Over one year later i received the phone call to pick the 721. Them i realised that the 72... 

So now 10-9 for the 721 😜

This big dial of a 721 with nothing on it it’s something unique. To me it’s not even unique it’s just f... nice to look at. But understandable if Die hard letteristi prefer the 720. both nice watches. In this case i might actually go for the 232.

And the 232 is a nice reference too ! Hum, humm, why not a little trio with my 249 and my 721 ???
