As for the 424, the version without date keep the beautiful simetry of that dial, and the golden hands on that brownish-black dial, with the assolutamente strap that narrows to the buckle is also a preference I have, it looks more sophisticated. I would have done without the logo, but oviously it was not a deal breaker. This is the Cali version that match my style best, still retain lots of the brand DNA.. But I will agree that you have to think outside the box to see that, but this is what poeple who work in creatif field do. I do understand however, that purists will settle for a 249, or a 448, that looks closer to the original vintage, as the motivation to own this piece is not solely aestetical but historical, and I respect that. I might even add a 249 in futur, who knows..
