Officine Panerai

I consider myself an enthusiast

But I don't care much for rarity. What I care about is whether the watch has appeal whether it be technical, aesthetics or history. Rarity is actually the last thing I care about to be quite honest. Daytona is not a rare watch but it was always not made readily available at dealers for decades yet it is an immensely popular watch. If rarity refers to demand outstripping supply then yes Daytona is a rare watch but I believe for most pieces where there is an active flipping market, they are more than not "not rare" by the true definition of the word.
