I have chance to try both in same time at Chronopassion in Paris, my prefer is the 26, cuz
The PVD traitment is pure killing, the metal have amazing reflects, so the watch is in pure spirit of pré-V and first Vendome.
The 26 suxx only cause Angelo don't respect the numerotation. But she beautiful.
The 317, have 2 big esthetical matters, she's too thick, and the Panerai ceramic look like cheaper plastic, like the Casio watch, i'am very despite by the Panerai Ceramic because IWC make great Ceramic (but sucking watchs since 3 years), the IWC Ceramic is heavy, mat, powerfull, the Panerai Ceramic looking fragile, too bright and too fragile...
If you want the P.2004, take better the PAM311 in titanium, she's the best Maniffatura P.200X (I don't talking about of the Marvelous Egiziano of course 
)
So my choice is PAM311 for the P.2004 and PAM26 for the black metal.

Both watches are desirable pieces, but I would stick to 'tradition'

I like the monopusher at 8 o'clock instead of 2 or 4 o'clock as well
