The strap. Thinner is always an option. I wanted to put this one as I waited two years for Piotre to make it. The color and no stitch combo helps to feature the watch a lot like the nato straps make the watch head pop. I will search through the other combos and the last gift strap you so kindly gave me to see if we have a match.

All I can say is I was lucky to be sitting where I was hint hint. This watch lends it self to the vintage feel but then again all Panerai watches have that in their DNA. Best Bill

I would not go so far as to call the patina fake more of an aesthetic choice. As dreamer8 noted it rather difficult to reproduce the patina naturally without the ingredients. But tastefully done with quality products it is a personal choice as to whether ...

I am trying really hard to resist as I have spent too much this year but it appears resistence if futile! I like the look of the faux patina with a nice ammo or PAV strap. Here is my 416 on Ammo...now this would look sweet with the 390...OH Cccchhhhaaddd!...

Really like your 416 in general and on that strap. IMO the 416 and the 390 are too similar, you definitely only need one of them. Then again, for some odd reason I want them both too!
