i recently got this awesome automatic PANERAI luminor marina watch.. but after seeing almost-perfect replicas on the net, i doubt if mine is authentic.... i search hours and hours on the net looking at over a hundred REAL and FAKE panerai models but it se...  

look like the real deal and buying over the net i dont think is a good idea unless you have certain knowledge of the seller or dealer anything else is certain to be fake . Best

even some 6 year olds could point that out, panerai never made an open faced watch panerai only makes a back display tourbillon panerai doesnt do moon phase panerai doesnt do an open dial!!!! panerai doesnt have that seconds hand panerai doesnt have that ... 

i never had a panerai b4... i didn't buy it from the net, it was actually a gift to me by a friend who doesn't seem to know the brand.. its just for the screws that i doubt its authenticity.. like i said i never had the chance to upload clear photos but i... 

and any Panerai collector will tell you that right off the bat. Sorry to tell u but your watch is counterfeit and obviously far from being authentic. It is a total obvious fake and a poor replica. Sorry to tell you the bad news. - Anthony

Maybe you need to ask some questions not involving blued screws? You're kind of fixated on the screws.... Perhaps you might consider changing "friends". I'd also advise you to get a tripod, it does wonders for reducing fuzziness in photos.

Firstly, I would love to have friends who would openly and happily buy me a very expensive watch! I guess I am not that popular. Secondly, there are good quality fakes and bad quality fakes. I guess your friend was too cheap to get you a good quality fake... 

Gaz, I think you are being a tad too cynical here - it's really not on... The question about the blue screws is a good one - you and I know well that Panerai is soon to introduce, via their new Filigree Activated Kernel Extrusion process, a new color and ... 

I feel rather ashamed that I belittled someone who is just thirsty for knowledge. After all, I was a newbie once and everyone here was so helpful when I asked whether or not the Penerai boutique I visited in Shenzhen was a genuine boutique. Thanks AFSG. I... 

...seriously...if you looked at 'hundreds' of panerai pics and still question if yours is real, then my suggestion is to stay away from expensive purchases...
