Hello everyone was wondering the forum's opinion in a version of this or that
Have my choice narrowed to pam005 or pam177 hopefuly this will quench my pam thirst enough until next year when i go for my grail. Thanks for your input.
Either Pam 5 or 177 are good choices,

Pam 005 vs. Pam 177
Too me the primary differences between the two are: 1) Polished (shiny look) for the logo vs titanium (muted look) for the 177. Which do you prefer? Most Panerai's are polished. 2) The weight of the watches is a big difference. The titanium is much lighte...
i guess the biggest difference aside from the ti/steel
is the caseback. the 177 is display and the 005 is not. i have had a 000 and a 25, the 25 didnt seem that much lighter than the zero but maybe that was because it was a sub? i have also had a 183, 243, and an 88. the 88gmt which alot of people really like...
Pam 176 was very light...
I had a Pam 176, and compared to my Pam 228 or Pam 88 (GMT,steel,auto) it's a huge difference in weight. I'm afraid I can't answer the exact difference in weight from a non-gmt or non- auto Pam, but I'm sure someone here will. Good luck hunting, palmasea
