Panerai Warranty HELP
I am wondering if anybody out there can help me.
I have a Panerai PAM 441, GMT (Ceramic) its less than 3 years old and probably only been worn 20 or 30 times, as i usually wear other Stainless watches for my Daily work life, it was purchased for me for my 40th birthday as i am a watch collector.
Whilst changing from the Leather strap to the rubber one, a small section of the case no bigger than a couple of grains of sugar broke off from where the screw that holds in the Strap, when it happened i was initially shocked, but then didn't think worry too much of it, as i assumed Panerai were a world class brand that Valued the customer, BOY WAS I WRONG...
After me being out of possession of the watch for 4 weeks, i have been informed that this will not be covered under warranty and will cost $3,155 AUD to replace the case, furthermore the repair time i was given was 21-23 weeks, for which i am flabbergasted. That is Roughly a 6 Month turn around.
I have E Mailed Panerai 2 times over the Past month, and have not even had so much as a response, for a $15,000AUD Watch, this is nothing short of Pathetic, thats surely the worst customer service in the world??
Does anybody have any suggestions for me??? as this is now becoming more a matter of Principle than simply paying the cost of a repair that is no fault other than the product itself.
