Richemont recently offloaded Baume et Mercier, will probably offload JLC soon and may very well look to offload both Panerai and wait for it....Roger Dubois. I think they will turn their focus to Cartier, Van Cleef and other jewelry brands since those seem to be cash cows right now. The only watch only brands I think they will keep long term are Vacheron and IWC for a lot of reasons. I am no fan of any large conglomerate be it Swatch Group or Richemont (although both saved a few watch brands from extinction) and think that the potential for long term sustainability is best obtained by these brands going their own way. However, as with everything in the luxury space right now, the possibility to do well is there but very specific maneuvers need to be taken to ensure that destiny. Otherwise, some brands in the next 4-5 years may very well disappear.

I am not sure. Probably there must be something about them , beside a need to make huge profit , but could not figured out.
