True that the old PVD'ed Panerai were pretty fragile and the current lines of 26K, 28L & 360 are all PVD'ed w/ DLC which is supposed to be a lot tougher. Having said that, I never had the ball to see how scratch resistant these new ones are compared to the old ones.

Tks. Understood and well said. Ceramic is the new way to go.
Better yet, Panerai Ceramic Composite which I suspect would have delayed delivery well into 2011...

I preferred the gunmetal tone on my DLC to the pure black on 317 and 292. Nonetheless, I presume DLC holds up against hairline better than plain 316L steel. 195 is a great watch. Do u know when the 339 is coming out? I heard next year as the whisper.
