Where is the laboratory of ideas?
Post-Vendome watches have only 12 years of existence, why this need to already pumping from it…?
The early customers purchased serialized /numbered pieces, why destabilizing the 'values' of their wears?
Whereas it is to make use of stock ETA movements or to reappropriate a model with ‘in-house movements’ is it justified to already replicate or duplicate?
I find this above titled topic and discussion to be wrong. I think it is an offence to many to see their watches re-re-replicated. Whilst some may fell lucky to be able purchase NOS watches or same but slightly re-specified, others see their desired rare watches popping out by hundreds from the genuine production lines, leaving them with somewhat a bad taste...
I think that many committed offerings ought to be respected by their proposers, what do you say?

With the re-edition of the PAM29 at SIHH 2010, which PAM do you think will be next?
Panerai reissued the: - PAM29 Luminor GMT w/ central seconds hand & tuxedo dial at SIHH 2010 - PAM28 PVD Power Reserve w/ Soprod movement at SIHH 2009 - PAM26 PVD Destro at SIHH 2008 Do you think Panerai will reissue another past model at SIHH 2011? If so...

I think that reeditions of watches from the vendome ERA have no added value...They have allready been launched, SOLD and discontinued...Doesn't rock my boat at all...lack of inspiration maybe??? Guillermo

Seems like Panerai likes to re-issue the past PVD models. So once they run out of PAM's to re-issue, I wonder which PAMs they will pick for future re-issues. Cheers, Anthony

I think Panerai keeps the value of the original versions, making the new one slightly different. I see your point, but I think old 26, 28, 29 keep their value againts the new versions for many reasons. On the other hand...keeping OORs is worst in my opini...

are allready scratching their heads since the 339 also has the "rare" 8 GIORNI BREVETATTO on the dial...Think I'll just wait for the 8 GIORNI to hit the LUMINOR COMPOSITE case........guillermo

I do not think that PAM 339 has anything to do, or can be related to PAM 203.

I understand the re-editions of e 26 and 28 due to e popularity of the PVD models, but never quite understood the 29. I personally would like to see re-editions of certain vintages, since their avalabilty are greatly reduced over time and the grey mkt now...

The more vintage appropriate the dial and hands... the better. But an aged appearing browned Cali dial with the correct Vintage Rolex movement with see through case back. A real replica except crystal not plexi or an option for either. Vintage appropriate...
