Scratch-proof but more brittle

I read from numerous reports that ceramic, while indeed has much stronger scratch-proof property than steel, is actually a lot more brittle as well.

Unfortunately, this downside is not something usually discussed when it comes to this material.

I do recall seeing another post here with a cracked Ceramica also.

I guess this is the trade off. While scratch is more frequent occurrence for typical watch wearer, and can certainly benefit from ceramic, a small drop can mean much more severe damage than just cosmetic.

This is really a bummer because I was seriously looking at the Ceramica. Now I'm having second thoughts.
