The watch for great collector I would say...
I'm not the great collector as you are but I do love having watches (especiall Panerai) in my small collection. Frankly speakin, the Mare is one of my most favorite PreVendomes (besides the 201A and 202A). As you said, the facinating balance on the dial bring very special character for this watch.
I used to ask my panerai friends but seems like less people have passion on the Mare. On the contrary, I do love the Mare and I wish my wrist will deserve one in the future....probably some re-edition issue.
By the way, how do you compare the PreVendome 5218-301 with the Mare006? What are their differences?

A Mare Nostrum can be found, even if it is not that easy to get one, indeed. And you know what? This is a Manual wound watch... So, blue dial + SS Case, + Manual Wound movement=A Watch for Stephen! LOL Best, my friend. Nicolas

And personnaly, I find it a bit more interesting than the 36, even if this last one has a lot of interest, as it is the only Vendome Watch coming with a Brown dial + Tritium Indexes, and a titanium Case... But if you make the Pair Logo + Mare pre vendome,...

Some important differences between these 2 references, although they both share a blue dial. The Differences are about the bezel, and the dial: Mare Pre V: A flat bezel, and a different layout of the dial, with indexes which are more located at the center...
