I can agree when Paneristi talk about the true Panerai DNA, but Panerai as a brand can't survive on models like the 372, 587 or 605 (to name a few) only. Panerai today is more then only a 2 hands watch compliant to its historical models
They make great in house movements with an awesome 8 or even 10 days power reserve, they present us with lovely dials, special oro rosso gold and stuning new materials like Carbotech and special techniques on cases like the latest PAM578.
In short they are a versatile brand, not afraid of innovation with a unique DNA. Anybody can recognize Panerai from a mile away, something that can't always be said with other brands. And a Panerai is so playfull.
Well, I guess they have me as a fan. A fan to stay, and not a fan or paneristi looking at flipping pieces the moment they gain a bit value.
Just my 2 pence. No offense intended.
