I have played with the idea before as well but kudos for executing the deal, your strap and pam look fantastic! Do you have pics of the underside, out of curiosity? Do tell about the leather too if you don't mind and congrats to you!

Top side is Barenia from Haas tannery. My wife was brave to get a Barenia Birkin because it patinas unlike Epsom or Togo but it's just classic imo. I also tapered the strap quite a bit to make the watch feels less of a hunk. Starts at 3.75mm to 2mm. Under...

I don't understand what's the wait for PP strap wait. It's not as if the outsourced company is churning out super high quality handmade item either. I had to bite because I stupidly threw away the white gold spring bars and PP won't let you buy a new set ...

did you learn it by yourself or did you find a coach?

So to answer your question, yes I learnt it by myself via trial and error method. YouTube can get you to OEM quality level but paid tutorial is for the tip and tricks to make things look nicer.

Funnily enough I learnt photography from a watch brand owner (who also used to participate in this forum) probably like some of the other members here.

What a great initiative! That's awesome and judging from the strap...you have quite the competence in making straps. Looks wonderful!

Frustrations along the way for sure but leather work/hobby is relatively easy to improve quickly because the trial and error process has low cost of error.
