Does this count as a hidden crown?
A couple of 26.5 SOB's from end Thirties.

In Switzerland it is referred to as "Beetle" model (in German) or "Scarabee" (in French). With a little fantasy you can see why:

I just call it "Art Deco", although the name Scarabee sounds nice and exotic.
Very thin rumours have it that this type of case was designed or made in Pforzheim (Germany) - whether that is true.....?

Hi Mike, hidden crown watches are very comfortable to wear - I have a Zenith automatic chronometer and an Eterna-matic... you have some awsome watches in your collection! And all of them in outstanding condition - congrats! best erich

nice pieces Ben. they count as recessed crowns which is the correct term, but they are a bit big to be hidden downt you think :) i love the case styling and can understand the Scarab reference. i especially like the cream/brown dial. very art deco. best G...
