Omega has been on a roll with their string of releases eg white dial Speedy, FOIS, and now the reverse panda. I’ve been wanting to put my ST1 back into rotation again, but with the new release it became more of an urgency in order to prevent a reactionary buy of an admittedly nice release.
Still, I could make the case in my mind, although in reality I don’t need to add a new piece into a rotation unless I let something else go.
Hypothetically, could any of you see having this ST1 and new reverse panda in the same collection?

No need to add the new one in my opinion. Too similar 😁. It looks excellent on that strap. PS. I’m in love with the new moonshine gold version though.
Totally agree, the gold version is on another level.
Otherwise, to your point, these two steel versions are close enough such that the new one wouldn’t provide a significant difference in experience. Thank you 🙏🏽
You right. I’m not a Speedmaster connoisseur such that I fully value these subtle differences.
When I think straight, I know I am mostly reacting to something new and shiny😊. So, this is where you all bring me back to my senses.
Yes, this cardura strap is an example of the textile straps I’m so fond of.
Indeed, I was looking on Omega site for the strap version of the new one to see how it looks…but it’s only offered on bracelet, which is maybe better suited to the lacquer dial.

Your ST1 is great.
So I personally see not point in adding the newly released Reverse panda. Unless, of course, collecting multiple variants of the Speedmaster is important for you. Best, Emmanuel

Plus, as I’ve been reacquainting myself with the ST1 today, my excessive appetite for the new has calmed.

This is the best recommendation. The limitation is that I have to sell something to buy something, and it’s not something i’m prepared to do now.
I personally prefer the ST1…
But I suppose all or at least many of us have similar watches in our collection on occasion 😉👍🏻 So if the heart says yes, why not 👏🏻
It’s the reality of the funds and the limit I’m trying to put on additional pieces without letting something else go.
Then there’s the recommendation A.G. said above which is the Ultraman. That would be a cooler addition I think. But I have enough Speedys as is.
