It may be a simple "legend" but ...
I was informed that the "star" inside the case back indicates an additional ruby on the power train or the presence of anti-chock device.
Take as a grain of salt, because I could not confirm this, yet.

I'd be inclined to rule out . . .
. . . a Star Watch Case Co case unless the watch was sourced in the US. Their star logos point up rather than down, to the best of my knowledge. Art

its not a Star (an American company that produced cases for Bulova, Omega and others. Legend says that they also produced cases for the true moon watch Speedies) cased one. Cheers, Nilo
