My New Addition...
Hello all......My question is regarding the popularity of the steel and gold Speedmasters versus the all steel. Attached please find a few pics of my latest addition. A Speedmaster automatic in steel and 18k. It is a model 3311.20.00 caliber 1155 and in mint condition with all the boxes, books and manuals as well as original hangtag with the serial number (54008895). it was somewhat of an impulse purchase and I think I paid a fair price. I wanted something a little dressier than the all steel models as I have an all steel Girard Perregaux Ferrari chrono, a Ulysse Nardin manual wind steel chrono from 1966 with a Valjoux 72 movement, a model 1680 all steel Submariner from 1977 as well as a limited edition Gevril all steel chrono which is a homage to the Paul Newman Daytona. I would very much appreciate your opinions. Thanks...Dave

however, I have a friend who loves solid gold watches, especially Rolex, Patek, and Piaget. His reasoning is that if you can't sell the watch but need some quick cash, you can always scrap the movement (he buys watches for value, not movements, so un-Puri...

for your opinion and comments. I always feel a tinge of "buyer's remorse" when I splurge for a new addition to the collection, albeit a modest one. I've reached a point with the wife that when I buy one...I feel I have to sell one! What's wrong with that ...
