My sense is the lacquered white dial chronographs were patterned after . . .
. . . the timers that were released in 2010 for the Olympics.
Omega found a stash of stopwatch movements made for the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and cased them in all three shades of gold; if memory serves correctly the list price then was equal to or more than that of the central tourbillon.
