Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Vintage Black pictures and an initial review

Believe me or not, I had put a deposit for this watch as soon I saw the initial pictures of it.

Now, it arrived and is just Gorgeous, with a capital G.

Words cannot describe the feeling of it on the wrist and, better, the lume, ahh ... The Lume:

Even owning for some time the "Grey Side Of The Moon", I didn't paid attention that the Omega symbol on the crown HAS LUME on it.

Of course, the "Dark Side of the Moon Vintage Black" has the same cool feature on it.

Now the watch but, first, let's look the strap.

I'm a certified strap freak and I seldom wear a watch with the original strap on it. If it comes with the bracelet, I ask for the removal before leaving the store.

This is not the case of this watch. Kudos to Omega for a gorgeous strap with the customary great deployment buckle.

On the wrist, the 44.25mm fits nice on my wrist.

The ceramic case is so lightweight that it feels like ... heaven.

The dial, despite the dark tones, has an amazing legibility in all light conditions.

Do I need to repeat that the movement, caliber 9300, is the best industrial chronograph movement ever?

Accurate, non-magnetic, dual power barrels and the list goes on.

Now my 2015 is done.

Had the Dark Side, let it go, no regrets.

Got the Grey Side, amazing one.

Close the year with the "Dark Side of the Moon Vintage Black".

Kididng. It's my favorite of these Omega variants. The dark side is cool but truly illegible, as far as the chrono goes... Well, anyway, very nice and thanks for the super lume pics. Omega and Rolex rule the lume world.

For reasons that I simply ignore, GP (I only have one) has a lume that beats all, Seiko included. Of course, to have a lume on the crown, Omega rules. Cheers, Nilo

I was able to handle a Grey Side for a few hours and it was quite enjoyable. In the end, despite being known as Michael the Grey, the piece felt a little conflicted on my wrist. The case is so unique and "vintage" style, I could not find the harmony w/ th...

Is the Grey strap, that puts way too much grey tones on the combo. That's the reason that I immediately swapped the original strap with the one that is part of the DSOTM combo. Look the result: The black strap from the DSOTM makes the watch "head" to pop....
