omega factory dials do NOT age this way. and the minute and hour hands are not omega at all. only the correct movement number can shed light into this speedy. and the outside caseback, who is very distinctive for the first series. with these speedys it`s ... 

but that's the only thing I can be sure of.

i´ve seen them repainted in very dark brown to make them look like the original. you have to remove the dial and look at the back of the dial with the stampings, to be sure. this goes the same way as the rolex paul newman owners and their dials..... have ... 

The brownish tinge in the dial appears uneven and not a more even repainted dial, the lume appears to be correctly aged radium and the 5 minute hash marks are of the correct length.

First because I missed the train when I could take it, then because it is a too hot reference with too many weird things. Though, I was and still am pretty sure the dial is good. Best, Nicolas.

Thanks for posting Nicholas, but as you rightly point out, much can be done with plastic surgery. The hour and minutes hands do not seem original, the bezel is refurb,, the dial I do not kown. Only the case shows its real age. I prefer watch in their own ...

I always think, trying to get a Rolex Red Sub that is factory-original and authentic is close to impossible and now comes this 2915. One has to be an expert or else, it is going to be a nightmare, after the purchase.
