Thanks for your reply mac... What do you mean by 'structure'? This pic and a couple of others is as much as I have at the moment... Do you really think the dial is genuine?

Hi, By "structure" I meant a kind of pattern, like silk cloth has a pattern, a structure..., like a kind of guiloche pattern, (machined) Or is the dial totally smooth - it does not look so in the picture. Do you understand what I mean? erich

That dial looks original to me but of course to tell for sure, the photos have to be closer up and higher resolution.

Hi all also, underneath the 6 position, it seems to read just "SWISS" and not "SWISS MADE" - I dont think I have seen just SWISS before ? cheers, paul

No Swiss og Swiss made, but "Fab swisse" is it for some export market ? (it is a watch i have the possibility to buy, is it interresting and i wonder what movement there is in it?) Best Thomas...  

...on the dial were generally exported to French speaking countries. Some soild gold versions had French-made cases. Hope this helps, gatorcpa

If I had to guess, I would say this watch is based on the cal 490 or 491. These are the slightly uncommon sub-second variant of the much more common cal 500-505 calibres. I believe these were the first full rotor automatic calibres Omega made, and though ...  

Thanks for all your replies. I'm still waiting for case reference number and calibre... And whether the dial is textured as it seems from the pictures... Apparently the movement should be a bumper and if so probably btw 342 to 344... Will post as soon as ...
