Agreed re: bang for buck! A lot of watch for what you pay. Parmigiani in general is quite underpriced on the used market.

I'd love to hear what you think of their more recent work. I've been a fan of the current generation of Tonda for a while. To my (distant!) eye they don't seem, though, to be done to this same unreasonably high standard. Do you agree?

The Tonda is a great watch and the finishing is better then what the competitors offer in that price category But it's not the same as what you see when looking at the Ionica, not even close The Tonda 'Chrono' anniversaire on the other hand has a movement...
