And have 2 similar - the Lorige BL-E Gris Circuit, which you know quite well, and my trusty old Carl F. Bucherer Tonneaugraph. I enjoy how the Kalpa XL has built-out lugs. And the shaped-to-the-case movement is spot on. I would like to own one, some day!
The lugs make for a comfy fitting watch.

For a watch this big, it's definitely comfortable to wear.

Yes, I had the straps custom made for these watches.
The strap on the gold Kalpa is from VelleAlexander in Minneapolis. The strap on the steel Kalpa is from Molequin in Belgium. Thanks for sharing your Kalpa!

The movement on these is one of my favorites. It's clear from your photos how well the anglage was executed.
They did have the movement in some smaller versions of the Kalpa however, like in this one: www.hodinkee.com
The case thickness is a bit larger
compared to my Kalpa QF to accommodate the movement even though both supposedly have the same length/width
