I read in a German watch magazine some years ago that ref 3970 has a soul What Guys do you think?...  

To me...it is a forever classic...

it creates emotions... but it remains an object even if we love them. This watch is beautiful of course! Fx

that all hand-made watches have 'a soul' because they are imbued with the maker's spirit and energy... I would suggest that some hand made watches have more soul than others--for instance, a Roger Smith, made to an extent almost entirely literally by hand... 

It has also been said, I think quite rightly, that the 3970 has the DNA of its legendary predecessor, the 2499. From the shape and styling of the case to the general layout of the dial the evolution is apparent. This particularly applies IMHO to the first... 

could't agree more my next watch but i need to clear some watches before definitely one of the most pretty watches
