My watch collecting journey, where I am today!

By: Saz : November 15th, 2021-19:02
Watch collecting is a journey like school! First you get excited about everything then you start selecting what you like by the graduation day, if you are lucky, you will know what you want do in thing with watches, I started with buying what I could aff...

Very happy to read about such a successful journey with this unique brand, for which you’re totally correct…there is NO vaccine!😄😉

Hope to see your wristshots soon…all gorgeous, but most of all this 5231J is truly a big new entry to your collection, which virtually any Patek enthusiast would love to own! And yes my friend, now a (or I should say, another) Rare Handcraft will definite...

I have worn all of my time pieces! They are to be enjoyed.

By: Saz : November 16th, 2021-02:29
Hope you are doing fine! And congrats on you new acquisition! I fell in love with the WT the first time I was able to see one on a trip to Sweden where there is a watch shop, not to name it, that had the 5131j and it was beautiful. The next target is a ra...

Hi Raymond, IF that's the way you describe it I'm totally with you, but we don't want to jump to conclusions, so let's wait and see what our friend responds.

Of course, all ADs have to sell their watches *unsealed* to the customer. Anything else would be a pretty serious violation, which might easily cost them their license -- no doubt about this point! ;-) I'm not aware of whether these specific watches were ...

From me you will always get sympathy!

By: Saz : November 16th, 2021-03:16
Your username always gives me the Wakanda forever reply in my head! Since we are on this forum PP forever🙅🏻‍♂️.

These are the pictures taken by my AD as I haven’t collected them yet.

By: Saz : November 16th, 2021-02:04
But I was excited to write about them. He is the most straight forward AD I have ever dealt with. I should have specified it sorry

The WT has a story! I wanted it last year but did not get it

By: Saz : November 16th, 2021-11:54
This year also I didn’t get it but the person who reserved it pulled out and I happily said yes when it was offered to me…. Thank you for reading!

I wish you the best of luck, these Pateks are truly art at its finest! ;-) I'm really looking forward to picking this one up soon (it's already been delivered to Italy, if all goes well I'll drop by that AD before Christmas to pick it up! ;-) Cheers.

[Actual pics and wristshots to follow -- for now of course I only have double-sealed pics (I will do the unboxing in person!), but I'm sure you understand why I was asked to avoid publishing them, even if I'm the moderator...;-))] ...

I should have used pics from the PP site also!

By: Saz : November 16th, 2021-02:40
But once I used the same type of ppics for my 5168 Blue dial and it didn’t make such a fuss! I am still not used to interacting with my keyboard and having to think of all the possible consequences… what a headache. Lovely piece BTW.

Congratulations on your PP collection

I assume these are old pictures and you have actually worn all those timepieces as they should have. I am also intrigued by what would be your definition of a sports watch.

With all due respect, this is the most boring watch "collection" I've ever seen....

By: BigFatPauli : November 16th, 2021-01:05
They aren't even watches at this point; they might as well just be bricks of gold. That is if they are all still in their boxes... I hope you open them and wear them in the best of health. They are MUCH more fun on the wrist.

Thank you for the effort and time you spend o. This forum!

It was not pleasant but what the hell. I always enjoy the ride! Have a goodnight sleep! And bring your A game to the call at 2:30 am! Best, Samer

Dear Sir with all due respect you know nothing of me to be able to suspect or suggest seeing eye to eye with me.

As far as I know you only read this post and saw my PP watches and made your assumptions. I have quite a few other brands as well if you care to look at my other posts. But as I said earlier thank you for reading the post and commenting on it. Hopefully i...

I think perhaps I was unclear...

But this reply was actually to FabR, not to you. I am sorry for the confusion but I simply said that I hope your watches, however you chose to enjoy them, bring much joy. My reply to you was below: "Ha! In any event, and however you keep them, I hope they...

A BIG congratulations on becoming the owner of these 3 extremely special watches! And thank you for sharing your collecting journey. I can certainly understand

your wanting to share your excitement with the Forum members even though you have yet to receive these treasures. Covid life has definitely created many challenges, both big and small. It also must be more than a bit frustrating having to wait to take pos...

Patience is a virtue especially when dealing with PP or you will loose it. I can’t wait to share the wrist shots with forum members. Best, Samer

Hi Saz, congrats in getting these coveted pieces !

By: GLau : November 16th, 2021-17:45
Your Patek journey thus far has been a meaningful one and trust that the PP “bug” will infect you deeper 🤣 Scoring a 5231J as a consolation price for missing the 5711 green giant is plenty good 👍 My wish is that this dial will poison ☠️ you deeper into th...

Hi Gordon!

I fell in love with the enamel work the first time I saw a piece in the flesh. Now I might be aiming at a rare handcraft but I need a theme that I like and an allocation I hope. Thank you for commenting, Best, Samer

Hi Samer, getting a rare handcraft will

bring your joy to another level ! Best of luck ! If you have to choose one out of the various rare handcrafts, which technique would you select and why ? Enamel, wood marquetry, engraving , or something else ?

I can tell you which one but to tell you why!!!!

By: Saz : November 18th, 2021-09:12
The why means that I am very knowledgeable in all of the techniques something I am not. The only thing I can tell from pictures I have seen on this forum is that the enamel work is somehow more lively to my eyes. I like colors, and vivid ones to be exact....

Hi Samer, you rare handcrafts piece must therefore be
