Watch collecting is a journey like school! First you get excited about everything then you start selecting what you like by the graduation day, if you are lucky, you will know what you want do in thing with watches, I started with buying what I could aff...
Hope to see your wristshots soon…all gorgeous, but most of all this 5231J is truly a big new entry to your collection, which virtually any Patek enthusiast would love to own! And yes my friend, now a (or I should say, another) Rare Handcraft will definite...
Hope you are doing fine! And congrats on you new acquisition! I fell in love with the WT the first time I was able to see one on a trip to Sweden where there is a watch shop, not to name it, that had the 5131j and it was beautiful. The next target is a ra...
Of course, all ADs have to sell their watches *unsealed* to the customer. Anything else would be a pretty serious violation, which might easily cost them their license -- no doubt about this point! ;-) I'm not aware of whether these specific watches were ...
[Actual pics and wristshots to follow -- for now of course I only have double-sealed pics (I will do the unboxing in person!), but I'm sure you understand why I was asked to avoid publishing them, even if I'm the moderator...;-))] ...
But once I used the same type of ppics for my 5168 Blue dial and it didn’t make such a fuss! I am still not used to interacting with my keyboard and having to think of all the possible consequences… what a headache. Lovely piece BTW.
I assume these are old pictures and you have actually worn all those timepieces as they should have. I am also intrigued by what would be your definition of a sports watch.
They aren't even watches at this point; they might as well just be bricks of gold. That is if they are all still in their boxes... I hope you open them and wear them in the best of health. They are MUCH more fun on the wrist.
As far as I know you only read this post and saw my PP watches and made your assumptions. I have quite a few other brands as well if you care to look at my other posts. But as I said earlier thank you for reading the post and commenting on it. Hopefully i...
But this reply was actually to FabR, not to you. I am sorry for the confusion but I simply said that I hope your watches, however you chose to enjoy them, bring much joy. My reply to you was below: "Ha! In any event, and however you keep them, I hope they...
your wanting to share your excitement with the Forum members even though you have yet to receive these treasures. Covid life has definitely created many challenges, both big and small. It also must be more than a bit frustrating having to wait to take pos...
Your Patek journey thus far has been a meaningful one and trust that the PP “bug” will infect you deeper 🤣 Scoring a 5231J as a consolation price for missing the 5711 green giant is plenty good 👍 My wish is that this dial will poison ☠️ you deeper into th...
I fell in love with the enamel work the first time I saw a piece in the flesh. Now I might be aiming at a rare handcraft but I need a theme that I like and an allocation I hope. Thank you for commenting, Best, Samer
bring your joy to another level ! Best of luck ! If you have to choose one out of the various rare handcrafts, which technique would you select and why ? Enamel, wood marquetry, engraving , or something else ?
The why means that I am very knowledgeable in all of the techniques something I am not. The only thing I can tell from pictures I have seen on this forum is that the enamel work is somehow more lively to my eyes. I like colors, and vivid ones to be exact....
