Ahhh what a read :)
Thanks so much, such a great, comprehensive view of the 5905P!
The 5960 in steel is one of my favorite modern Patek's so its a hard comparison for me
The lack of power reserve does kill me, BUT you are right I think in your assumptions as to Patek's meaning behind the watch.
Thanks for the look!
Regards,
Dylan

Great watch AND a great review! Thank you ver much! Here are some more pics of the watch I took a while ago. Sorry for the bad quality. Here is a size comparison. It's big. Size comparison 5960/1A. Which I think to be honest is a better size. Sorry, not t...
Thanks Dylan!

Actually, I'm a guy who thinks that a power reserve is more useful with an automatic watch than with a handwind one. Because with the handwind one, you usually wind it every morning. Anyway, thanks for your comments! Fx
Can ask for a better review.

Thanks for a great review,I did already put my name on the 5905P waiting list but I am leaning towards searching for the 5960P for the reasons you said actually. .More usable on day to day (less formal). .Has more character .Power reserve counter. I think...
MBA is not THAT bad...

I hold two MBAs and still I know something about my company's industry, at least the results suggest that. But seriously, book wisdom and wisdom gained from experience are two different things. However, it is possible to combine in a very positive way. B...
Interesting article, Fx. More perfect, I don't know, but for me, the 5905...

Has much less charm than the 5960. The 5960 as really something, as you wrote. Monocounter, first in house auto chrono movement, and an original and refined look at the same time. The 5905 cannot compete, imo. Best, Nicolas
A nice review Fx.

I've seen the watch for the first time not long ago but couldn't handle it and waiting to give my final opinion. However, there are many interesting evolutions on this new reference and I think it is better than the 5960 in several aspects. So, two very d...
phenomenal review and admit
By: keks : July 13th, 2015-04:28
my view on this 5905P has improved considerably. But with slight reservations for changing my mind once I have had the privilege to encounter on in the flesh, my pick still remains 5960P in any dial configuration over this newer reference. Main reasons be...

I really prefer the 5960 because of many details. The power reseve and the hour counter first. But also the folding clasp and the screwed back. Not only the function but also the looks of the patek screw back is muc much superior... Why do they put a pres...

People sometimes miss threads like this one and it is nice to bump them up from time to time, especially when the watch has been recently unveiled. The 5905 and its 42mm fit very well your wrist and this proves that Patek was well inspired to include some...
