Yes, this does help. I think the 5000J will fit just fine. May take some getting used to but it's such a classic fit that I don't think I will mind. Thank you again
To be honest, I personally don't fully respond to the overall aesthetic of this line of Calatravas, but I still found it interesting to go through the whole line. My favorite here, would be the first one, ref. 5000G, but it's only a matter of personal tas...
6000R China 🇨🇳 10th year anniversary. For me, 5000 has a much cleaner dial, just like my 6000R with picket fence hour marker instead of numbers. Just today, I went to my strap shop to try on a yellow strap. Thoughts on brown or yellow ? 😃 ...
Would you allow me to include some of your pics to my thread, with credit, of course (just for the pleasure of having the complete line)? If you prefer not, I totally understand! The yellow works well, it gives the watch a very different look. Given my co...
The latest version is probably the only PP I’d actually consider for myself. But I passed for a couple reasons. Would have been better if they made a 38 mm case instead of 40, 20 mm lug width instead of 22 and a dial matching date wheel (which based on my...
My favourite here also is the 5000 series. G then J. Although the G is the sportiest and under the radar, the J has the same flair that the 5070J does. Less is more? Credit phillips Credit phillips again ...
Hi all. First time poster long time lurker. I have had my eyes on the PP 5000, 6000, and 6006 for a while now. My wrist is on the larger side (18.5cm and flat (60mm flat)). The challenge is that I can't find any of these watches to try on in-person so I'm...
Unfortunately, even though I've done this thread, I've never seen one of these references in real life, so I can't answer reliably your questions. But hopefully someone else will be able to. Best, Emmanuel
I heard this first from Tim Mosso. From my experience, this is also true. A 36mm 5 digit datejust has a tad/slight more wrist presence due to the thickness and 20mm lug width Hope this helps

Great presentation and it showcases the sportification of the Calatrava in recent years. Personally I prefer this approach of casualizing a PP watch, much more than the introduction of something like the Cubitus. Calatrava line can incorporate both more c...
it’s very well said. And I find your point of view very interesting. I was shocked at first by these sporty Calatravas which ‘casualize’ what I think shouldn’t be. But I might be wrong, and this might indeed be a better way to go for Patek than the Cubitu...
..... I love everything about it in all of its variations. I remember back in the day, in early 2000s ...the first Patek watch that I had in my hands, had this miniature self-winding rotor that completely mesmerized me and made me completely intrigued abo...
