3970 chronograph issue
Friends -- my 3970G black dial is recently back from Henri Stern NY after a full service. I have noticed that when I now start the chrono, ~80% of the time it works just fine but ~20% of the time it is quirky -- specifically, the chrono seconds hand jumps forward to the 5 or sometimes 10 second mark when the pusher is pressed and begins from there. Again, this only happens ~20% of the time and it is usually when the chrono has not been run for a while. Is this normal behavior?

odd coincidence...
I had the EXACT same issue with a Zenith Daytona that I purchased. The issue started as soon as I took the watch out of the box. I thought there was something wrong and returned the watch. interested in reading experiences from others here.
I would immediately send it back with a video showing the problem.
Regardless whether your watch did behave like this before servicing or not, after servicing it should perform flawlessly 100% of the time. I would make a video clearly showing the problem and send it together with your watch back to HSWA. Frankly, I find ...
Not normal at all, the 3970 here...
...never did that. It always works flawlessly. Yes, as others have said give the service department a ring and send back the watch as am sure they can bring her back to 100% easily.

Thanks, everyone. I will head over to HSNY on Monday afternoon (with my service receipt) and have them take a look and hopefully make any adjustments. Will update on what transpires.
