5905...
It's an interesting hybrid between ref. 5960 and ref. 5205. I especially adore the dial and lugs of ref. 5905, but I can't avoid thinking about its dimensions, because it's rather thick (14mm) and wide (42mm) - without an apparent purpose since it's offering fewer complications.
But I'm still allured by ref. 5905, even though I have a ref. 5960p-016. However, I'd wish that Patek went for a more "exclusive" caseback for such a high-end piece (within in their collection of complicated watches). Pictures don't capture the light and colors as they look in the real but they increase the details too much and may create flwas which do not really exist. That's why I always have a try even if something doesn't seem to suit me at first. Cheers, Mark

That's why I have organised to test PP Pilot's in the beginning of December. I do not like it but my dislike is based on conservatism and pictures. I would be stupid and limited if I would not give the watch a chance. Best, Kari
Great

Thanks and please share some more pictures when you can. I have not had the chance to see a 5905 in the metal. What are your impressions regarding the thickness of the case, especially considering that you own much slimmer cased PP watches? From the pictu...
Yes, 5905P is thick

but not very thick. Many chronographs, especially the self winding ones, are as thick or thicker. Still, on top of being a chronograph, 5905P is also an annual calendar. Taking into account the complications, the watch is not thick at all and the 42 mm si...
