If the reason is because you love them, so, the answer is easy. If it is for an investment, so you'd better play the lottery. Personally, I would not sell the 5070. I would sell other watches to fund the 5970P. Why? Because I love it / them. So, it is up ...

I think you might be lost in translation here Fricks. Like you pointed out "we don't know his financial situation..." so my opinion was based on the timepieces he already owns, i wasn't judging nor doubting.

....because I am not sure it is clear what you want from your watches. If you love the 5970P, then it is a case of working out if there are watches in your collection that you do not love as much. Of course, the 5970P is a much more expensive watch than m... 

don't think we are in the same page. Every morning when I open my safe, I pick a watch that speaks to me for that particular day(my collection is humble compared to yours). But for example if I go to the office I might pick my PP 5146g, If I am on suit I ... 

Sell 5270G to buy 5970p. There are in similar function, and 5970p is much better in dial layout and rarer than 5270. Keep the rest brands, they give you varieties for different occasions.

This is one of the harmonic and well balanced Patek ever created! I would by second 5270g just as back up:) If you sell it you will regret it and miss its beautiful face week later...

5970P is a great piece and very collectable as is your 5070. The BP/Omega's and VC's would be the first thing I would boot to go towards the 5270.
