I dont think they were good sellers though. Of course these are the pieces that go crazy at auction down the road, No one wanted them which leads to them being rare and cult classics

I'm glad I got my 5711r when I did. that makes two models I have retired at the same time, 5135 being the other one.

The watches that become cult classics are the ones that were unappreciated, unloved, and shadowed by other pieces. Good thinking! Those individuals who can get their hands on a Patek 5711J/R/G should give it serious consideration if they like the watch.
