Of the new Patek offices & workshops. Even after all these years it never fails to impress me how somebody can not only make such minute parts, but then put them all together to create a stunning piece of mechanical artistry. :)

... Patek "makes efficient, wearable art." And we gladly pay for it! The customer service was great and every single watchmaker we encountered during our visit was patient, passionate and very much willing to share their craft and knowledge with us.

Wish I was there!

To see the watchmakers in action. And to hear their absolute passion and dedication to the pieces we all love just confirmed that our Pateks are in good hands upon servicing (and came from good hands upon distribution)!

Now I'm really looking forward to the visit there to bring in my 5056P for service!

A former student of mine is actually looking to purchase one... he's looking at annual calendars but finds some of the discontinued pieces more lovely than the ones currently in production. And the 5056P is at the top of his list!

... loved the pics of the movement of the 5170J. When you toy around with that chrono, you can feel that its really something that stands apart from all the other chrono's. No competition here if you ask me. Thanks for the great report

And having Patek's director of technical services explain the six or so major innovations they introduced to the new in-house movement, most with patents or patent pending, was really illuminating.

What maybe the other functions for this office?

... you have client receiving rooms up front, where customer service representatives welcome you and handle your requests. Patek USA is also the central clearing house for distribution of all timepieces issued to ADs in the US, so though we did not see it... 

... I'm thinking you'll find this shot cool. Right, amanico ? 5110P and big brother ...  

By the way, the 5110P is simply stunning in person. As you may have surmised from my preferences, my weakness is for perpetual calendars. But now that I've seen the 5110P I fear (or my wallet fears) that I might be looking at World Time pieces...!

Did I hear you say you will start looking at World Timers? :) That would be amazing if a certain Steelerfan can make it into our town! I think my year will be complete! ;) Cheers Everyone! ...

Great pic and report, thank you! Always loved the 5110 wall clock and when the opportunity to have one here.... Alas, the 5110R is a bit hard to access at the moment, hope the 3970er in the photo below is ok. ...
