About a year ago my AD called me and said he had a 5131 enroute and would I like to apply. He told me there was only one watch for his three locations. I obviously applied. About two weeks later I was told that the 5131 was given to a customer at one of the other stores. My AD told me it was Patek's decision. I was dissappointed but life goes on.
A few weeks ago he called me to tell me my 5131 had arrived!
I believe the AD gets the alotment for the watch and then submits the application to Patek for the final decision.
So my AD called on Friday
I was expecting a replacement strap for another watch but to my surprise... I can't believe how beautiful this watch is on the wrist. The colours on the dial just pop! Pictures don't do this watch any justice....

smilling on you ! Impossible to get hold of ! Someone I know paid 130Gs for one on the secondary market last year !! ANd yes pictures does nothing for this watch , that needs to view in perosn ! Huge Congrats !!

Wonderful watch you are right
I was lucky enough to see one in real few months ago at the occasion of a PR event at PP and one of the guests was having one. Yes you are definitely right pictures do't do justice to this wonderful dial. Huge congrats lucky guy! Best, Mike

That you were very disappointed, when your AD told you the news and that in fact that you would have to wait a bit longer for your replacement strap!!!! :) Congratulations, that is most certainly the best type of phone call to receive :) Regards Tony
