My sincere question
In the US it's an allocation and application reference. I know it's an allocation reference in the rest of the world, but in which countries does it not require an application?
Who has the ultimate ( the last say ) in which customer gets approved? Is it the: The AD, or the Distributor, or Patek, or Thierry Stern ? In my 4 years of dreaming I still don't have a firm answer to this nagging question.
It's no secret that the 5131 is my holy grail and I have been wanting this reference since 2008. But I am extremely happy to see well deserving members of this board finally getting this dream reference. It truly makes me smile for days when I see these posts of the true collectors obtaining the 5131 and knowing its placed on their wrist to enjoy.
May all our dreams come true.
So my AD called on Friday
I was expecting a replacement strap for another watch but to my surprise... I can't believe how beautiful this watch is on the wrist. The colours on the dial just pop! Pictures don't do this watch any justice....

smilling on you ! Impossible to get hold of ! Someone I know paid 130Gs for one on the secondary market last year !! ANd yes pictures does nothing for this watch , that needs to view in perosn ! Huge Congrats !!

Wonderful watch you are right
I was lucky enough to see one in real few months ago at the occasion of a PR event at PP and one of the guests was having one. Yes you are definitely right pictures do't do justice to this wonderful dial. Huge congrats lucky guy! Best, Mike

That you were very disappointed, when your AD told you the news and that in fact that you would have to wait a bit longer for your replacement strap!!!! :) Congratulations, that is most certainly the best type of phone call to receive :) Regards Tony
