once you see 5970 in metal, one can completely understand why it is considered one of 'THE' best PPs. voluptuous case and the lugs slopes nicely enabling the timepiece to fit on most wrists... pretty much a perfect timepiece ! Myrte + 5970R is in deed a g...  

The problem is that most ‘mere mortals’ like myself will never get to see a 5270 ‘in the metal’, as you say. So thanks for sharing these wonderful photos

I always wonder why the 5970 was more popular than the 5270. Was it because of the smaller case (40mm v 41mm on the 5270)or the limited number of years it was in production hence making it rarer? Afterall, it had a Lemania base movement whereas the 5270 h... 

I never knew that the finishing on the 5970 was better than the 5270.

looking at photos and reading about 5970 already demonstrate why it is so popular! Seeing it in the metal is simply icing on the cake. Owning it like you, it is a dream for many ! Enjoy it often.
