I always wonder why the 5970 was more popular than the 5270. Was it because of the smaller case (40mm v 41mm on the 5270)or the limited number of years it was in production hence making it rarer? Afterall, it had a Lemania base movement whereas the 5270 had an in house Patek movement.

I can confirm, 5970 sits better on the wrist as the lugs curve downward better...
suits our wrists better I would say.

in deed it is an icon and one of the Best Pateks. In fact, I will consider 5970, 5070 & 5110...perfect 3 watch collection.
