The 5326 is always on my mind as the -01 variant I find really attractive. I also do like a center seconds in general on watches. The overall movement doesn’t quite excite me as some others however. It’s interesting the 2022 release is -11, I can’t think of 10 other variants. That would be an interesting post !
Edit - interesting all the 5236 are stopped on 0 with their seconds hands. I don’t believe they have a zero reset or anything like that ?

Wouldn’t you say that Patek has done a true Art Deco tiered case and dial with the ref. 5101? Then maybe a simple set of blackened Breguet numerals and leaf hands would do the job of giving these cases with three-tier lugs a full Art Deco vibe. Best, Emma...

This one and the 5124 look pretty good to me! The 5101 doesn't look great on my wrist unfortunately. But I do really like the 5124J and 5124G with salmon dial.

I know two ladies who wears the 5101 extremely well!
They do look oversized on their petite wrists, but the whole ensemble comes off quite well. One of the two ladies is a significant other of a rather famous watchmaker.
I've noticed that men tend to want their watches to fit perfectly
and tend to wear them tight, whereas it isn't rare that women wear oversized watches and don't necessarily mind wearing them loose. The beloved half of a famous watchmaker? I wonder who it can be!

During my recent visit to the PP Salon in Geneva
I discovered that the display watches aren’t functional: they are blocked at 10:10 and do not work and aren’t for sale. That might be the explanation, as I imagine the watches lent to journalists are display watches only. Best, Emmanuel

I love both the 5320G-001 and 5172G-001. One area (I feel) Patek excel against its German counterpart... a lot of thoughts went into the case design.
Thank you, Goh! Yes, Patek really knows how to make great case designs,
whereas ALS lacks creativity in this area. And the chronograph caliber, though probably not on par with the Datograph or the 1815, is still very fine.
You wasted no time with a great post and some very fine Pateks.
I do think the finest of the lot is the 5101. It probably doesn’t sit comfortably on too many wrists but it was and is still a special reference.
Yes, the 5101 is a very special piece.
I'd love to see one in the metal someday and to find more photos of it on the wrist to get an idea of how it really fits.
