Great summer watch
I appreciate your saying it is very un-Patek of a watch. I think many Patek fans hesitate to say that (feels derogatory to call someone else's Patek very un-Patek) and the owners of this piece rarely admit that and try to explain things like "but it has the 324 powering it, that is very Patek" etc.
I appreciate that you called it like it is --- this watch is very much un-Patek! And that fact both drives a bunch of people to dislike even insult it, and drives others who find typical Pateks stuffy to covet the 5167. For me, personally it means the 5167 is very much not in my taste - I fall in the Nautilus lover camp, and while I don't think that is a true sports watch, I think it is plain stunning and beautiful in a way very few if any watches can match, and that is good enough for me! Just like it being comfortable and versatile, about as much as any piece, good enough for you.
