Height and heft
thanks for the feeback. So you do not find the 5980R's height and weight to be an issue with the composite strap I assume?
On the leather strap I assume it will be quite snug and comfortable as I like to wear my watches reasonably tight to the wrist to avoid any sliding around the arm. Recalling back to my 5711G on composite strap it was ok but not nearly as comfortable as on leather yet chose composite for the sunnier part of the year.

5980R is gorgeous
Sorry for my late reply. The 5980R is a bit top heavy but it doesn't bother me. The composite strap is very comfortable. The watch wears very differently than the steel one. 5980R is way more substantial on wrist. Hope this helps.

This is the watch to go! Congratulations! You will never get bored of it. Many ppl think a Nautilus should be on bracelet. But, 5980R and 5712R can easily stand on their own.
