First the 5070 J (yellow) : Made from 1998 untill more or less 2002
Than the 5070 G (white) : Made from 2002 untill 2006
Last came the 5070R (red) : Made between 2004 and 2008
As you can see, all of them were made more or less 4 years and they made about 250 of them per year, per color
So it must be around 1000 in total per color. There won't be more red than yellow but the yellow is the oldest and probalby more in the pocession of collectors while the R is still easier available at secondhand dealers, when those are bought by collectors you won't find them that easy anymore 
To stop this reference they made the 5070P, by far the most rare, only made during 1 year and total production won't IMO fetch the 250 per year. I don't know but I think 150 max 200 is closer to reality than 250. Besides, it's much easier to find a 5970P than a 5070P while the 5970P was also only 1 year in production.
Which is more rare... 5070r or 5070j ?
I don't see many yellow gold 5070s for sale compared to the 5070 in rose gold. Was the rose gold version introduced at a later time? Thanks in advance for your input.

Get over 'rare'
Patek's marketing will never allow you to know... buy the watch you like. Ideas such as rarity are 'scams' to put it very bluntly--UNLESS real numbers are given by the manufacturer.
