You are correct in that Patek Basel watches with enamel dials represent excellent artisanal work but motifs are often more subjective. Hence, I am so pleased that I got this particular Rousseau Lion because it satisfies my criteria in terms of (no particular order): 1) excellent motif with meaningful history, 2) enamel work by Anita Porchet, 3) small production run of 6 pieces while each piece is truly unique, and 4) it complements my existing collection.
Now the issue is to figure out the proper occasions to wear this Lion in this concrete jungle city that I live in. LOL !

5131G to get on my wrist ! LOL ! FYI, this enamel piece was made with the champleve method, which involved engraver digging grooves into the dial to form the motif and the enameler (who may or may not be the engraver) filling the grooves with enamel work....
