Honestly, I don't know if I would do the trade for a platinum.
The only advantage of the platinum over the white gold is that it would be more polyvalent, and more conform with my lifestyle.
The other advantage is that the platinum is nort rodied, as is the white gold, which is the most important con on this last one.
I like a lot my WG, though, and now that I own it for more than one year, I'm used to it, we have a common story together, which is very important, to me.

... go for platinum and keep the Wg If you want it hard enough you will manage to do it. Btw, i have the Rg, and it is the most desirable 5070 IMO, still can't get the P out of my head. Morality of the story, you dont sell your 5070 even to buy another 50...

Tyler, but when you send your watch for service, you have the option to ask for rhodium plating for your white gold PP's that had rhdium plating from the factory originally. Cheers,dreamer
As I understand there are some 5070G
with non-plated WG cases. I think Patek stopped plating their WG watches in some phases, and I have heard of some 5070G near the end of the reference without the rhodium.
It will be interesting to have the confirmation. I think I heard that

5070P is not the best watch by any single measure, but all together this one has a special feel that is greater than the sum of its parts, and nothing quite like it on the wrist. I would also tend to agree with you the 5070P is more desirable than the 597...
