Honestly, I like simple looking watches!
Chronographs look cool. But I never use the function. Perpetual calendars look really complex and rarely do they look "elegant" and mine are never set correctly (I'm embarrassed to admit). I do like minute repeaters though - the simple ones, look like normal watches, it's not until you see the slide that you realize it's a minute repeater! I'd say... Time to add a simple looking repeater to your collection!
Satisfied with Two Extremes
This is my maximum allowable range of complications. I know there are tourbillons, minute repeaters, resonances, split seconds etc…How complicated do you like? ...
I thought a Lange Chronograph will satisfy that desire 😊
Hence I did not go to that PP route for chronographs…I try not to have too many watches 😜
For me
5270 g (original without tachometer) or current P green dial, 5230p, and the 5196p... would be only watches I need plus a no date sub.... hmm..
If you could only have two Pateks this would be it.
You have the ultimate examples of what Patek does best - make perfect timekeeping machines. I love both of these.

You might be right, who knows someday I might consolidate even further to a few watches....
but the practical mind inside me will think about servicing/maintenance cost for highly complicated watches....like Lange's Category 6, "price upon request" and I heard it can run up to 5 digits....I am not ready to swallow that bill, although that cost m...

I still like the 5070, and that's from over a decade ago! The 5270 and 5970 are still some of the most beautiful perpetual calendar chronographs out there!
me 5070g. 5370P, 5100P, 5650G and when I am deranged 5520

Perhaps a sports patek ie a nautilus, love the retro case and bracelet, the alternating brush and polish elevates the watch to another level Pateks are renown for the min repeaters but the lack if water resistance make is impractical - I would really worr...

Actually 2 exteme...ly beautiful watches Very cool thread trying to select the ideal short PP collection. Actually a route that I am following since quite some years now and I am happy I made a good way already even if it is an endless process

I know your 3448 and 5970R are one of the best, this side of the extreme. I am also happy with what I have, not many watches will make me feel butterflies in my stomach nowadays...maybe it's time to wind down.
